AWOL Blog

Welcome to the AWOL Blog (and for those of you who do not know what a ‘blog’ is meant to be, it is, according to the dictionary, “A Web site on which an individual or group of users record opinions, information, etc. on a regular basis.” The term comes from two words that were originally spliced together, ‘web’ and ‘log’ to give us ‘weblog’, and as is the nature of the modern way with words, this then got shortened to ‘blog’. This no doubt gets shortened further in text speak to just ‘blg’ but we really don’t want to go there. AWOL will post information about the newspaper, website and other ramblings that readers are free to comment on . The rules for posting remain the same, so please remind yourself of the terms and conditions of membership of AWOL before going any further.
