Apologies to any North American readers but this page is wholly concerned with the original game of football, which, strangely enough, is largely played with the feet rather than the hands, unlike the gridiron version. Danish clubs fined €1340 for snowball fight between fans

Danish football clubs Nordsjaelland and AGF have been fined 5,000 kroner (€670, £555) each for a snowball fight involving supporters in a league match. The two teams met in the Danish Superliga on Friday November 22, with a disciplinary process from the Danish FA (DBU) deciding the fine on Tuesday December 5 after determining a total of four snowballs were thrown by the two clubs’ fanbases, two from each side. FIFA agrees Club World Cup broadcast deal with DAZN

FIFA has agreed a deal with DAZN to broadcast next year’s Club World Cup in the United States. As part of the overall agreement, which FIFA sources say is worth around $1billion, all 63 matches will be made available on DAZN’s platform to watch for free. FIFA had initially struggled to sell the broadcasting rights to the Club World Cup, with Gianni Infantino, the football world governing body’s president, calling an emergency briefing with TV executives in September.
